It's difficult for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a squad that has won it all.

The fact it required up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

That comment will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.
